THE BOARDS...

The Old Jacaranda series by General Vintage is crafted using authentic Dalbergia Nigra — the true Jacaranda from Brazil, also known as Rio de Janeiro Rosewood. This is the genuine article, sought after by the most discerning experts: Dalbergia Nigra.

There is no question about it — just take a look at the images.

DALBERGIA NIGRA 18TH CENTURY...

These pieces are part of our exclusive collection, and they are truly remarkable. When we seek the authentic tone of the '50s and early '60s, we find the perfect balance of defined lows, mids, and highs, each note articulating with precision.

This Dalbergia Nigra is exceptionally old — older than a 1954 Les Paul! With over 200 years of natural drying, it carries a unique character and resonance that only time can provide.

Our 18th century have special contours.

Beautiful hand-rounded contours.

Nitrocellulose natural finish, authentic aged without colorants, authentic oxidation of the varnish.

The truss rod adjustment is on the heel, just below the slab, it is an improvement to the past Pre cbs era, we can install double action on special request.

A long list of magnetic wires that have shaped history — American history.

Manufacturers such as Belden, Corona Wire, Bridgeport, Essex, Anaconda, General Electric, and more.

This is part of our private stock. The Alnico magnets also undergo a chemical analysis of their properties and composition, which I refer to as a "vintage chemical analysis." This process allows us to recreate the authentic tones of 1950s and 1960s-era magnets.

Nitrate Celluloid / GVT Old Jacaranda Models...

The acoustic qualities of real nitrate celluloid pickguards are unmistakable. Nitrate celluloid affects the resonance of the instrument in ways many don’t believe, but after over 20 years of working with it, we’ve observed clear differences compared to stock plastics like ABS. Nitrate has a more defined acoustic "bite," producing richer, woody nuances in its resonance.

The result is a fuller midrange and the elimination of static electricity often generated by synthetic materials like plastic, ABS, and their derivatives.

In addition, using nitrate celluloid ensures historical accuracy, catering to the most discerning guitarists — like us — who appreciate the details. All of these are advantages, as it’s the real thing.

This is all backed by over two decades of passion and expertise, with a team dedicated to crafting guitars that are true to the highest standards.

The Pre-CBS "True Vintage Nylon" Exclusive Series of Pickup Covers…

These are the most authentic and historically accurate pickup covers from the early '60s, originally used on Stratocasters, now with our signature Master of Aging finish.

Nylon covers were used throughout the '60s — and their reaction to UV exposure proves their authenticity. We have included images to demonstrate this effect.
